I would love it if you forward my letter to your members and also put a small article in the newsletter.
Not being very computer literate I will have to get my wife to send over the picture in a separate letter as I have no idea how to attach them to this e-mail.
I will make sure she sends the one that makes me look 21 again!!!
As you say I was at Hanley with Lenny Barnes, Pedler Palmer, Dave Young, Dicky Bird, John Nixon etc. With being aware(away?) so long I have lost touch with most of them. However, my son and daughter in law keep me up to date with some of the current happenings.
Unfortunately, they can't always remember the names of the people.
Thought I had Alzheimer's!!
For those of you who don't know me I joined Staffordshire Police in September 1959 as a cadet, and retired from Hanley in 1990.
During that time I served in Newcastle, Hanley, Drug Squad, 4RCS and with the ICAC in Hong Kong.
On retirement I moved to Florida and have owned several businesses in the Orlando and Gulf Coast area leaving the police service in the capable hands of my son, Glyn, and daughter in law Nikki (both serve in the Staffordshire force).
Some years ago my wife, and I, started a real estate career thinking that we needed to slow down a little.
The slowing down didn't quite happen as we are busier than ever involved predominantly in the sale of vacation home/investment property in the Orlando area.
Later this year we will be expanding the business to offer investment opportunities/second home sales in the Bahama Islands.
Although hectic, our work gives us the opportunity to combine business with pleasure and we have helped many of our former colleagues to acquire excellent return on their investments.
I look forward to hearing from former colleagues and serving members who are interested in information regarding the following:
1. Investment opportunities or property purchase in Florida or the Bahamas.
2. Information regarding moving to the US.
3. Business opportunities.
4. Just to say hello and catch up on old times.
