NARPO Holiday Group – Majorca for 2 weeks from 11^th May 2010. Fully booked.

Members going on this holiday are invited to join a pre-holiday social gathering to meet with other members of the party travelling, at 7.30.pm on Tuesday 9^th February at The White Eagle Polish Club, Riverway, Stafford. (In The Lounge.)

INJURY ON DUTY AWARDS - Latest information.

All members in receipt of an Injury on Duty Award will have received a letter from John Davis, Pensions Manager with Staffordshire Police. This letter contained what some members considered to be ‘threatening language’ by which it was inferred that if the required information was not supplied to them, the injury award pension would be withdrawn. This inference has been withdrawn and an apology received. However, NARPO members are required by Police Regulations to supply the information requested and your full co-operation is recommended. If you wish to speak with either the Stafford Police Federation or your NARPO Branch officials, please feel free to do so.

Following his address to the NARPO Annual Conference in September 2009, the Home Office Police Minister, promised to review the implementation of the Home Office Guidance (circular 46/2004) and we can confirm that he is in the process of doing just this. The above request for information from individuals is probably part of this process.

At their meeting in November 2009, your Branch Committee unanimously agreed to donate a seat in memory of all our departed colleagues to be sited at The National Memorial Aberatum at Alrewas, Nr Lichfield.

Arrangements are in hand for a special dedication ceremony to be arranged. Details will be put on our web-site when available and e-mail will be circulated.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING.

Sunday 16^th May 2010.

Please note that your attendance would be appreciated at our 57^th Annual General Meeting, which will be held at The White Eagle Polish Club, Riverway, Stafford, at 2.pm. on Sunday 16^th May 2010, followed by complimentary afternoon tea at approx. 3.pm. Bar open 1.pm – 2.pm.

The main purpose of the AGM is to elect the officials of your Association and to approve the audited accounts. We hope to have guest speakers too.

Any matter under ‘Any other Business’ must be notified to the Hon. Secretary, 7 days prior to the meeting please.

NOTE. To assist with catering arrangements it is essential that you reserve your place for afternoon tea with Secretary Des Lockwood by no later than Monday 10^th May. PLEASE try to assist him in this respect by completing the booking form below. If you have not booked you may be disappointed and not have the tea.
