CANNOCK SUB BRANCH NEWS
| We had a big turnout for The Cannock Sub Branch Meeeting on the 12th November 2011 when over 20 members and their partners attended the themed evening "Wartime Extravaganza". Entertainment was provided by Female Vocalist Jacqui Daniels, who turned many an eye in her "Union Jack" dress and, also, we had a Wartime singalong of war time songs provided by the Club's very own 'Plank' (a splinter group of the Club's main Choir). They do satire and fun round the piano. All were dressed in Army type hats, and we even had an appearance of the French Gendarme duet which went very well. The whole evening went well and included a good Buffet and Raffle.

| Cannock & Rugeley Sub-Branch held a well attended meeting at Mansfield House, Rugeley on 16 June 2011. Tweny nine people attended this first meeting in Rugeley, with many apologies received. Regretably, Secretary Ken Leach (appointed at the AGM on 17th March) has tendered his resignation. This leaves the position again vacant and Joe Edwards urges members to consider standing for this role. |
| On Thursday 17 March 2011, Cannock Sub Branch held its annual general meeting at the Cannock Ex-Servicemen's Club. There being no other nominations, the Chairman (Joe Edwards) was re-elected. Ken leach was nominated and accepted election as Secretary . Welfare Secretary (Shuck Harper) was re-elected. The Chairman welcomed Branch Secretary, Des Lockwood, Staffordshire Police Welfare officer, Rob Williams, Webmaster, Joe Molloy and visitors from the West Bromwich and Wombourne Sub Branches to the meeting. |
| On Thursday 4 November 2010, Cannock Sub Branch held its annual social meeting at the Cannock Ex-Servicemen's Club. The Chairman (Joe Edwards), welcomed Staffordshire Police Federation Chairman, Mark Judson and introduced the guest entertainer Trevor Leeson. Trevor provided excellent entertainment, being an accomplished guitarist and singer along with a torrent of side splitting jokes and stories. | On Thursday 18 March 2010, Cannock Sub Branch held its annual general meeting at the Cannock Ex-Servicemen's Club. There being no other nominations, the Chairman (Joe Edwards), Secretary and Treasurer (Ian Rawlings) and Welfare Secretary (Shuck Harper) were re-elected. The Chairman welcomed Branch Chairman, Gerry Robinson MBE, Branch Secretary, Des Lockwood and Webmaster, Joe Molloy to the meeting. |
| On Thursday 12 November 2009, Cannock Sub Branch held its annual social at the Cannock Ex-Servicemen's Club. A special welcome was extended to Mark Judson, Chairman of the Staffordshire Police Federation. In addition, we were pleased to welcome members from other Branches. Former Staffordshire Police photographer John Cooper (now residing in the south-west) travelled furthest to meet old colleagues.
