Tamworth Section held their annual Winter Dinner at Drayton Park Golf Club, Drayton Bassett, Tamworth on the evening of the 19th January 2010 with great success. The event was attended by some fifty seven persons who enjoyed a sumptuous three course dinner in wonderful surroundings.
Following the meal all ladies were given a table gift and some were lucky enough to take away the table centres. Our raffle raised £121 for our funds.
Following our Chairman’s news from the front the remainder of the evening was given over to two three quarter hour sessions of joyful entertainment delivered by Phil Chase.
Everyone attending enjoyed the gathering and this augers well for our future endeavours. We hold a summer luncheon, to which all members and friends are invited, and this event usually attracts about sixty persons. We hold our meetings bi-monthly on the first Tuesday of the month; our next meeting is on the 2nd March 2010 and we will have speaker giving a talk on Israel.
